We have all seen a crossroad: an intersection where all the different roads come together. When the same word adopts a figurative sense, it refers to a crucial point at which a vital decision must be made. We often find ourselves in such situations: where our choice will determine our future. This situation is depicted by the picture above and highlighted in the usage as well.
