Perhaps women have the same story to be told everywhere. In some parts of the world, they are being made to directly and in some parts of the world they are being made to indirectly, as crimes against omen rise at alarming rates. Further, the worst part that comes out of this is religion that is being used as a reason to harass them. When will we realise that we are one and should be one?
Summary:
The article states that though all the eyes are on the elections in Egypt, everyone has forgotten that women rights are almost shrinking. There ere times when women could just go out on their own, but now thy have to take their husbands or older sons, if they have to venture out after sunset. There have been comments like, “just you wait, those who will cover you up and make you stay at home are coming, and then there will no more of this lewdness”. Further, the article states that Coptic Christian omen are being told to follow the example of Muslim women in covering their heads etc. Coptic women are already infuriated at this, as they already have to face anti-Christian sentiment directed at them due to the presence of Islamists and a hostile government.

Well, yes why dilute it? But for the first time Kapil Sibal’s proposal makes sense, at east to me and few others like me. Somehow in the competition of getting into the best colleges in the country, we have made robots out of students. Perhaps with this move, there will be less stress. If this move really has to make some sense then it should be coupled with generation of more jobs too.

The article states that the decision to dilute the IIT’s entrance test by making it common for NITs, IIITs is nothing but wrong and will only make it easy for anyone and everyone to get in, right now the test for IITs has the reputation of being one of the toughest test in the world, which makes sure that only the best of engineers get through. And according to Kapil Sibal, this move will only help the students to relieve the stress. However, writer is of the opinion that though the process is stressful, but pain for sometime gives rewards to the students that no one can even think of. Further, writer states that what is wrong in toiling for a while and being counted in world’s best?

Violence against women is one of the most known war crimes that happen to subjugate the population, as it seems to be the easiest way. It in a way denies the women a fundamental right to move around safely. And this is the reason a stringent law needs to be made and implemented.

The article is talking about sexual violence against women in war areas like Sierra Leone. The writer states that just like violence against women act (domestic) was a milestone in its own way, in the same way IVAWA, International Violence Against Women Act could also be a milestone, if U.S. could take a stand for it. Further, the article also states that society could concentrate on education of boys and girl, which could not only change societies, but also empower women.
