Number of boys =24
Number of girls = 16
Average age of girls = 25
Average ago of boys 20
Therefore the average of the entire class will be = (16 x 25 + 20 x 24)/40 = 22

Number of girls = 2/5 x 20 = 8
The average age of boys = 20 and the average age of girls are 25
Therefore average age of the entire class would be = (12x 20 + 8 x 25)/20  = 440/20  = 22 yrs
So the right answer is option c

Now the average income of each employ for that particular month = 196000/10 = 19600
Question 5
There are nine number written in increasing order in which the  average of first five is 45 and the average of last five is 50, the what will be the average of 9 numbers if the value of the fifth number is 49
A
45
B
57
C
89
D
49
Question 5 Explanation:
Average of first five numbers = 45 i.e. 45 x 5 = 240 units
Average of last five units = 50 = 50 x 5 = 250
Therefore on adding 9 numbers together we will get a total of 490 units
But we are given by the fifth term as 49 so 490-49 = 441
Here we subtract 49 because fifth term is added two times
So the actual sum of 9 terms is 441 and the average is 441/9 = 49
