1. Indian Heritage in Digital Space

  • Union Culture and Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel launched ‘Indian Heritage in Digital Space’ exhibition at National Museum, New Delhi.
  • Prahlad Singh Patel is an Indian politician who is the current Minister of Tourism of India and Member of Parliament from Damoh Loksabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh. He was minister of state for coal in Third Vajpayee Ministry.

2. Saksham Campaign

  • ‘Saksham’ Campaign has been launched by Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan.

4. Rare Disease Policy draft

  • Under Rare Disease Policy draft, Government of India will provide a financial support of up to Rs 15 lakh under its Rashtriya Arogaya Nidhi scheme for one-time treatment of rare diseases.

1. The Global Risks Report 2020

  • The 15th Edition of ‘The Global Risks Report 2020’ has been released by World Economic Forum.
  • The report has been prepared by WEF in partnership with Marsh & McLennan and Zurich Insurance Group.
  • The global economy is facing an increased risk of stagnation, climate change is striking harder and more rapidly than expected, and fragmented cyberspace threatens the full potential of next-generation technologies — all while citizens worldwide protest political and economic conditions and voice concerns about systems that exacerbate inequality.
  • The challenges before us demand immediate collective action, but fractures within the global community appear to only be widening. Stakeholders need to act quickly and with purpose within an unsettled global landscape.

  • ICICI Bank has launched its API Banking portal consisting maximum number of virtual APIs (nearly 250 APIs).

2. Bapu Nadkarni passes away

  • Former India all-rounder Bapu Nadkarni passed away.
  • Rameshchandra Gangaram “Bapu” Nadkarni was an Indian cricketer, mainly known for being an economical bowler. The chances of scoring against him was either nil, or negligible.
