1. India’s first underwater metro
- India’s first underwater metro project is set to complete its East-West Project of Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation by March 2022.
- Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation, is a Government of India enterprise formed in 2008, implementing Kolkata Metro Line 2, also known as East West Metro, connecting the twin cities Kolkata and Howrah. The under construction metro rail route will be partly underground including the part that will be under the river Ganges.
2. World’s Largest Meditation Centre
- The world’s largest meditation centre and the global headquarters of the Heartfulness Institute will be inaugurated at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad.
- Shri Ram Chandra Mission also named Heartfulness Meditation is a non-profit organization and a spiritual movement. It was registered in 1945 in India by Shri Ram Chandraji of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has its current world headquarters at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Kanha village, Ranga Reddy District near Hyderabad, Telangana.
3. Indian Railways’ Milestone
- Indian Railways is expected to switch entirely to electricity by 2024.
- India is expected to make the entire railways network a ‘Net-zero Emission Network’ by 2030.

4. India’s first Super Fab Lab
- India’s first Super Fab Lab was inaugurated in Kochi, Kerala under the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM).
- It is built in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
- Fab Labs are fabrication laboratories that offer digital fabrication and computation.
5. National Handloom Expo 2020
- The 17th Edition of National Handloom Expo 2020 has kicked off at Bhubaneswar.
- It is organised by the Odisha State Handloom Weavers Co-op Society Limited (Boyanika), was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
