Article Title: Feeling 65
Article Summary
In this article the author talks about Indians ageing faster than people from other countries. The author says that Indians, much before they even turn 60, start suffering the health complications of a 65-year-old whereas Japan and Switzerland suffer the same conditions only when they touch mid-70s. But the author thinks that we may be better off embracing seniority since a person looking aged, especially in politics, is taken seriously than a greenhorn. Women too are spared from the toxic masculinity whereas within families, seniors are accorded more respect and privileges which the author thinks also act as an incentive. Weighing all the pros and cons, overall, he thinks Indians feeling older than actual may not be too bad a thing.
