  • Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing took the top spot in the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
  • Securing the runner-up position was Charles Leclerc from Ferrari, and taking third was Sergio Pérez, also from Red Bull.

2. SBI’s ₹22.5 Crore Contribution to IITBombay

  • SBI, via its CSR initiative, the SBI Foundation, has committed ₹22.5 crore to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
  • The objective is to create a Banking Data and Analytics Hub within IITB.
  • This center aims to tackle distinct challenges of the Indian banking and finance realm.
  • The partnership will harness the vast banking knowhow of SBI and the research prowess of IIT Bombay.

3. MoU Signing among ICG, Indian Navy, and Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation

  • An MoU was inked between the Indian Coast Guard, Indian Navy, and the Indian Port Rail & Ropeway Corporation.
  • This agreement focuses on designing, establishing, and inaugurating a themed gallery on “The Journey of Indian Navy & Indian Coast Guard.”
  • India’s government, under the guidance of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, is constructing the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal in Gujarat, a site significant to the Indus Valley civilization.

4. ₹6,194 Crore Disaster Fund Allocation to 19 Indian States

  • The Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, sanctioned a release of ₹6,194.40 crore to 19 states from the State Disaster Response Fund.
  • This total comprises ₹1,209.60 crore allocated to four states: Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh for the fiscal year 2022-23.
  • The remaining ₹4,984.80 crore is designated for 15 other states, which include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, and others.

5. Indian Duo Shine at Asian Squash Mixed Doubles 2023

  • In the 2023 Asian Squash Mixed Doubles held in Huangzhou, Indian players Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Harinderpal Singh Sandhu clinched the gold medal.
