- Cabinet Approves Unified Pension Scheme (UPS): The Union Cabinet approved the UPS, offering a pension of 50% of the last 12 months’ average basic pay after 25 years of service, with proportionate pensions for 10-25 years of service, and a minimum pension of ₹10,000 for 10 years of service.
