Article Title: Why didn’t anyone tell me? You asked Google – here’s the answer

Article Summary

This article deals with the authors opinions on googling thoughts and expressing their knowledge about something important to people .

The author starts with how we google pretty much everything and how Google has become our best friend. He describes a psychological process by which once you become aware of something, you begin to see it all around you as though your knowledge of its existence has given it licence to come out of the woodwork and he further shares his personal experience with golf to elucidate the same and also his love for Pierce Brosnan in the movie Mamma Mia.

The author points out that there is another case to be made about not telling someone about something so that they can find the actual beauty or the meaning of the thought on their own . This making them interpret exactly how they feel rather than getting it distorted by others opinions. Furthermore firstly sometimes it’s just not easy to tell someone the truth when they think you can and secondly sometimes we just become cowards and think that saying something is worse than saying nothing as that is just because we are burdened with important information that doesn’t give us permission to divulge it.

The author concludes that even when we are burdened with some knowledge, however, an inverse correlation comes into play that the people most in need of the information are the very people least likely to listen.
