Article Title: Do Grammar Mistakes Annoy You? You Might Be an Introvert

Article Summary

In this article, the author speaks of the correlation between being a Grammar nazi and introversion. Studies have shown that introverts were more likely to be annoyed by typos and grammatical mistakes than extroverts and don’t want to live with the people who commit these errors. Those studies also indicated among those surveyed that agreeable people are generally kind, sympathetic, cooperative, and considerate. People who score low in agreeableness are the opposite; they lack empathy and put their own interests above those of others. So it makes sense that people who are disagreeable — whether they’re introverted or extroverted — would judge others for their mistakes. She says that introverts function in a hyper-aroused state so processing a mistake can heighten their arousal just a little and put introverts in an uncomfortable place, unlike extroverts who enjoy variability and engaging with people. When questioned, the introverts resonated with the findings of the study thus driving the proverbial final nail into the coffin.
