Ode & Owed

Ode is a poem characterized by effusive expressions of feelings and complexity of stanza forms: “Ode to Duty, one of Wordsworth’s best creation, is an appeal to the principle of morality for guidance and support.”

Owed , on the other hand, means to be indebted to another person for something or to have been under obligation to repay a debt: “He owed me a large sum of money which he had borrowed from me to start up a new business of textiles.”
