Pedal & Peddle

Pedal has the following meanings:-
1. The foot treadle or leaver that is pressed down to activate the attached machinery: “The brake pedal of this car needs to be pumped twice to stop it.”
2. The action necessary to move a bicycle: ” We may pedal the distance to the railway station on our cycles.”

Peddle, on the other hand, means to travel from place to place with items for sale: ” The gang that used to peddle illegal drugs has been busted and its members have been arrested.”
