Vocabulary CAT-2024: How important is it to learn words for CAT-2024 preparation?
This is one of the most common questions that students raise. In fact, this is an extremely valid question when it comes to CAT Preparation.
Let’s get the facts straight first. In the last three years, CAT has not featured any vocabulary questions. Seriously, the number of direct vocabulary questions in the last three exams has been a grand ZERO.
What does this mean for you? Should you or should you not prepare word-lists and learn new words?
The simple and direct answer is: you absolutely need to increase your word-power and improve your vocabulary by leaps and bounds. There are two simple reasons to do so:
1. The CAT Verbal Ability section is essentially a test of comprehension ability and you can only do well in this section if you possess good language skills. One way of achieving these skills is to improve your vocabulary.
2. Other important MBA entrance exams, such as NMAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP, MAT, CMAT, etc. feature quite a few vocabulary questions. It makes a lot of sense to not place all your eggs in one basket and prepare for these exams as well.
The above should provide you sufficient reason to improve your vocabulary skills. With our daily CAT prep plan, you get four basic ingredients for your vocabulary preparation:
1. 2 Daily Tests to check your Vocabulary skills
2. 5 Visual Vocabulary Words
3. 3 Flashcard Sets (featuring a total of 30 words)
