3. Maha-Navy Connect 2020
- Indian Navy’s first Maha-Navy Connect 2020 Tri-Dimensional Expedition started from Mumbai, Maharashtra.

- Government of India has approved the agreement on cooperation in polar science between the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and the Ministry of Education and Research, Sweden.

- Former Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic won the Croatia’s presidential election defeating Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic.

3. World Hindi Day
- World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 every year, marking the anniversary of first World Hindi Conference which was held in 1975 by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
- National Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on September 14. On that day in 1949, the constituent assembly adopted Hindi, written in Devanagari script, as the official language of the Union.
- While the focus of the World Hindi Day is to promote the language at the global stage, the National Hindi Diwas, which is held across the country at a national level, marks adaptation of Hindi, written in Devanagari script as the official language.
4. Agreement between India and Mongolia
- India and Mongolia have signed an agreement on cooperation in the exploration and uses of outer space for peaceful and civilian purposes.

3. Asia Pacific Drosophila Research Conference
- Pune hosted the fifth edition of the Asia Pacific Drosophila Research Conference (APDRC5).

- Drosophila is a genus of flies, belonging to the family Drosophilidae, whose members are often called “small fruit flies” or pomace flies, vinegar flies, or wine flies, a reference to the characteristic of many species to linger around overripe or rotting fruit.
