  • The Indian Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) has decreed that every insurance provider in India must issue a distinct 14-digit Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID for every Indian resident. This applies to both new and existing insurance subscribers.

2. Bilateral Trade Goals: India and Serbia

  • India and Serbia aim to enhance their trade value to one billion euros by 2030. Both nations’ presidents, Droupadi Murmu (India) and Aleksandar Vucic (Serbia), have committed to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding collaborative avenues. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the vital discussions between the two leaders during President Murmu’s visit to Serbia.

3. INS Trishul’s Commemoration in South Africa

  • The notable warship of the Indian Navy, INS Trishul, arrived at the Durban port in South Africa to mark 130 years since Mahatma Gandhi’s expulsion from a train at Pietermaritzburg station on June 7, 1893. This event became a catalyst for Gandhi’s anti-discrimination movement.

4. Advancements in China’s Aerospace

  • China has introduced the JF-22, touted as the world’s most advanced hypersonic wind tunnel, indicating a significant step in their hypersonic technology endeavors. The JF-22, located in the Huairou region of Beijing, can replicate hypersonic flight conditions up to Mach 30.

5. Status Update on Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii

  • Following the recent eruption at Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, the US Geological Survey (USGS) modified its safety alert from “WARNING” to “WATCH”.
