1. World Sight Day
- World Sight Day was observed on October 12 by International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness.

2. Japan-India Act East Forum
- The 2nd Japan-India Act East Forum was held in New Delhi.
- The Forum aims to further expand the cooperation between Japan and India in North East and to strengthen the relationship between Japan and North East, as well as that between Japan and India. In this regard, the Forum discusses cooperation in various fields and promotes Japan’s cooperation in the region.
3. Malaysia abolished capital punishment

1. ‘Google One’
- It is a cloud storage subscription plan in India which is launched by Google.
- Users may subscribe from 100GB to 30TB across products including Google Drive and Google Photos.

- Low range devices (Wireless chargers, Bluetooth etc.) exempted from licensing norms.
- 302 to 435 KHz , 855 to 1050 KHz and 1.89 to 2.31 MHz frequency bands are exempted.

- Shashi Tharoor has released a new book ‘The Paradoxical Prime Minister’.

- Ireland wicketkeeper-batsman Niall O’Brien announced from International Cricket.
