1. New Logo of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly
- The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly adopted a new logo, reflecting the distinct identity and culture of the state.
- The new logo consists of the national emblem and foxtail orchid, the state flower.
2. Armed Forces Veterans Day
- 14 January is celebrated as Armed Forces Veterans Day every year.
- This day is observed to mark the respect and recognition of the services rendered by Field Marshal KM Cariappa.
3. Yashaswini Scheme for Women entrepreneurship
- Minister for Women and Child Development and Textiles, SmritiIrani has launched Yashaswini Scheme for Women entrepreneurship in Goa.
- Women self-help groups will be given interest free loans of upto Rs Five lakh for business.

1. 8 Wonders of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation
- Statue of Unity in Gujarat has been included in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s ‘8 Wonders of SCO’ list.
- SCO is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance, the creation of which was announced on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai, China by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan; the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Charter, formally establishing the organisation, was signed in June 2002 and entered into force on 19 September 2003.
- The original five nations, with the exclusion of Uzbekistan, were previously members of the Shanghai Five group, founded on 26 April 1996. Since then, the organisation has expanded its membership to eight countries when India and Pakistan joined SCO as full members on 9 June 2017 at a summit in Astana, Kazakhstan.

2. Currency Manipulator List of USA Treasury Department
- USA Treasury Department has removed China from the designation as ‘Currency Manipulator’.
- “Currency manipulator” is a designation applied by United States government authorities, such as the United States Department of the Treasury, to countries that engage in what is called “unfair currency practices” that give them a trade advantage.
3. Raisina Dialogue
- The 5th Edition of India’s Global conference on Geopolitics and Geo-economics Raisina Dialogue has begun in New Delhi.
- It was organised by jointly the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation.
4. New Prime Minister of Malta
- Lawyer Robert Abela has become Malta’s new Prime Minister.
- Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast.

3. GSAT-30 satellite
- ISRO will launch GSAT-30 satellite onboard Ariane-5 launch vehicle (VA 251) from French Guiana.
- The GSAT-30 is a communication satellite of India and configured on ISRO’s enhanced I-3K Bus structure to provide communication services from Geostationary orbit in C and Ku bands.
4. The authorised capital of Indian Overseas Bank
- RBI has increased the authorised capital of Indian Overseas Bank from Rs 15000 crore to Rs Rs 25000 crore.
