- In a major security breach in Uttar Pradesh Assembly, an explosive PETN weighing 150gm was found.
- CM Yogi Adityanath has seek NIA(National Intelligence Agency) probe into the incident.
2. Indian astrophysicist discovered galaxy super cluster, names it Saraswati.
- Astrophysicist at Pune based IUCAA and IISER have discovered one of the most massive large-scale structures in the universe.
- A cluster could have galaxies ranging from 40 to 43, This galaxy super cluster, named as Saraswati is 4 billion light-years away.
3. Baba Ramdev launches security firm Parakram Suraksha Pvt Ltd.
- Looking beyond FMCG, Patanjali group founder Baba Ramdev launched a private security firm called ‘Parakram Suraksha Private Limited’ in Haridwar.
- Baba Ramdev has hired retired police and army officials to train young recruits.
- Notably Patanjali has crossed Rs.10,000 crore business recently in FMCG market .
4. Proceedings can’t move further unless Vijay Malya is produced in court: SC.
- The apex court, which was to pronounce quantum of the sentence today against Mallya, who has already been convicted for its contempt, said proceedings can’t move further unless the businessman is produced before him.
- The offence of contempt of court entails a maximum imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of upto Rs 2,000 or both.

1. China’s Nobel peace laureate Liu Xiaobo passes away.
- Chinese Nobel peace laureate Liu Xiaobo passes away at the age of 61 due to Liver cancer.
- Notably China has released him recently from Prison on compassionate grounds.
2. All girl Afghan Robotics team get Visa after Trump’s intervention.
- Six Afghan Teenage girls are all ready to compete in a Global Robotics Competition, Washington after getting Visa.
- This move comes after intervention from US president Donald Trump. Earlier the girls were denied visa twice by US embassy in Kabul.
3.India tops the list of Governmental Confidence League.
- According to survey of Organization for Economic Co-operation and development Indian have most confidence on their ruling government.
- India(73%) followed by Canada(62%), Turkey(58%), Greece(13%) ranked last in this survey of 15 countries.
4.Qatar Airlifted 4,000 Cows after Arab Embargo cuts milk supplies.
- The first batch of 4,000 dairy cows was flown into Qatar five weeks after a Saudi Arabia-led boycott.
- Their milk is expected to fulfill only 30% of Qatar’s need.

1. Tata Sons name Aarthi Subramanian as Chief Digital Officer.
- TCS Executive Director Aarthi Subramanian has been named as Chief Digital Officer by Tata Sons.
- She will report directly to Executive Chairman of Tata Sons N Chandrashekharan.
2. Luxury phone maker Vertu in process of Winding up.
- Luxury phone maker Vertu is being wound up, It will close with the loss of around 200 Jobs
- Vertu was the ultra-ultra-premium arm of mobile giant Nokia.
3. WPI falls to 0.9%,lowest since June 2016.
- WPI(Wholesale Price Index) based inflation fell to 0.9% in June compared to 2.17% a month ago.
- This comes after India’s retail inflation in June recorded low at 1.54%.

1. Indian Women’s Hockey team defeated Chili, reaches HWL Quarter-final.
- Defeating Chilian Women’s Hockey team by 1-0, Indian Women’s team reached Quarter-final of HWL(Hockey World League).
- India will face Germany on 16th July in the quarter-finals of the HWL.
2. Rohan Bopanna, Gabriela Dabrowski ousted from Wimbledon mixed doubles.
- Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna and his mix doubles Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski lost in mixed doubles quarter final.
- Finland’s Henri Kontinen and Great Britan’s Heather Watson defeated them.
