2. “Gajah Kotha” Campaign in Assam

4. Pakistan’s Substantial Nuclear Energy Venture

  • Pakistan, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the helm, has inaugurated a significant nuclear energy project valued at $3.5 billion.
  • This nuclear power plant, with a 1200 megawatts capacity, is being erected with considerable support from China in the Punjab province.
  • Derived from an earlier accord between Prime Minister Sharif and China, this massive venture is named the Chashma-V nuclear plant and is situated in the Mianwali district of Punjab.
  • Previously, Pakistan has operationalized two other nuclear power plants, the Karachi Nuclear Power Plants (KANUPP 2 & 3), with a combined capacity of 2,290 megawatts.
