1. Portal LADIS – Least Available Depth Information System
- Inland Waterways Authority of India has launched a new portal LADIS (Least Available Depth Information System).
- It will ensure that real-time data on least available depths is spread throughout for ship/barge so that they can undertake transportation on National Waterways.
2. First Indian Woman Flight Engineer
- Hina Jaiswal from Chandigarh has become the first Indian Woman Flight Engineer to be inducted by the Indian Air Force.
- The Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces. Its complement of personnel and aircraft assets ranks fourth amongst the air forces of the world. Its primary mission is to secure Indian airspace and to conduct aerial warfare during armed conflict.
3. Two new Districts in Telangana
- Narayanpet and Mulug will be new notified districts in Telangana.

4. GS1 India with Government eMarketplace (GeM)
- Both have signed an MOU which will enable GeM’s buyers and vendors to access accurate and standardised information on attributes of various products across categories.
- GS1 India is a Standards body (registered under Societies Registration Act 1860) with founder members comprising Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, FIEO, IMC, APEDA, Spices Board, IIP and BIS. It is affiliated with GS1® a not for profit global standards organisation.
- GS1 India mission is to improve the efficiency, safety and visibility of supply chains across physical and digital channels through the use of global GS1 standards.

1. Early Ed Asia 2019
- ‘Early Ed Asia 2019’ Conference has started in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- It is Asia’s largest conference on Early Childhood.
2. Pedro Morales passes away
- Pedro Morales {WWE hall of fame} has passed away at 76.
- Pedro Antonio Morales was a Puerto Rican professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances in the United States with Worldwide Wrestling Associates and the World Wide Wrestling Federation.
3. Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit
- The Spanish Govt. will confer upon Sushma Swaraj the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit.
- The Order of Civil Merit was established by King Alfonso XIII of Spain in 1926. The order recognizes “the civic virtue of officers in the service of the Nation, as well as extraordinary service by Spanish and foreign citizens for the benefit of Spain.”
4. Argentina President in India
- Argentina’s President Mauricio Macri has arrived in New Delhi and will hold talks with PM Modi.

1. World Bank with Himachal Pradesh Govt.
- World Bank and Himachal Pradesh Govt. has signed a $40 million loan agreement for Shimla Water Supply Project.
- The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans to countries of the world for capital projects. It comprises two institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Development Association. The World Bank is a component of the World Bank Group.
2. New Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes
- Pramod Chandra Mody has been appointed as the new Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes.
- The Chairperson, Central Board of Direct Taxes is the senior-most IRS civil servant in the Government of India. The Chairperson of CBDT is the ex officio Special Secretary to the Government of India and also cadre controlling authority of the Indian Revenue Service.
3. Bandicoot Robot
- A robot named Bandicoot has been introduced for drainage-cleaning purpose in Chennai.
- It is as part of efforts to rid of manual scavenging.
- Chennai, on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city is home to Fort St. George, built in 1644 and now a museum showcasing the city’s roots as a British military garrison and East India Company trading outpost, when it was called Madras. Religious sites include Kapaleeshwarar Temple, adorned with carved and painted gods, and St. Mary’s, a 17th-century Anglican church.

- IMG Reliance has pulled out from broadcasting Pakistan Super League
- HBL PSL 2019 is the fourth season of the Pakistan Super League, a franchise Twenty20 cricket league which was established by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in 2015.
- International Management Group (IMG), is a global sports, other events and talent management company headquartered in New York City. It has been owned by William Morris Endeavor and Silver Lake Partners since 2013. Trans World International (TWI) is the event company of IMG.
