4. Neelum Sharma passes away

  • Neelum Sharma was an Indian anchor who was most well known as one of the founding anchors of Doordarshan.
  • She was a recipient of the Nari Shakti Puraskar, the highest civilian award for woman in India. Through her show Tejaswini, Neelum focused on woman achievers of India.

1. KONKAN bilateral exercise

  • The 14th edition of KONKAN exercise is an annual bilateral exercises between Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Britain is currently underway off the South Coast of UK.
  • INS Tarkash is participating in KONKAN Bilateral Exercise.
  • INS Tarkash is the second Teg-class frigate constructed for the Indian Navy. She is part of the second batch of Teg-class frigates ordered by the Indian Navy. She was built at the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia.

2. International Army Scout Masters competition

  • The 5th edition of International Army Scout Masters competition was held at Jaisalmer Military station Rajasthan.
  • A total of eight teams from India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, and Belarus participated in the competition.

1. India’s GDP Growth by ANZ

  • Australia and New Zealand Banking Group has slashed its forecast for India’s GDP growth to 6.2% from 6.5% earlier.

  • India’s forex reserves has spotted the highest ever valuation of $430.57 bn due to rise in foreign currency assets.

3. India’s first airline to operate a commercial flight over North Pole

  • Air India has become first airline of India to operate a commercial flight over North Pole.
  • It was achieved by Air India flight AI173 from Delhi to San Francisco.
  • Air India is the flag carrier airline of India, headquartered at New Delhi. It is owned by Air India Limited, a government-owned enterprise, and operates a fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft serving 94 domestic and international destinations.

1. New Head Coach of Kolkata Knight Riders

  • Kolkata Knight Riders has appointed Brendon McCullum as its new head coach.
  • The Kolkata Knight Riders are a franchise cricket team representing the city of Kolkata in the Indian Premier League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta.
