1. Saudi Arabia’s Accession to ASEAN’s TAC

  • During the 56th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Jakarta, Saudi Arabia marked its accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC), becoming its 51st member.
  • The accession ceremony occurred on July 12. Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi, representing ASEAN, welcomed and expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s inclusion.

2. Trination Naval Exercise “Security Bond2023”

  • China, Russia, and Iran have launched a joint naval drill, titled “Security Bond2023,” in the Gulf of Oman.
  • The fiveday operation is designed to ensure the security of critical maritime routes. The exercises encompass aerial searches, sea rescue operations, fleet formation drills, and more.
  • China has dispatched five warships, including the ‘Nanning’ guidedmissile destroyer, dedicated to noncombative assignments.

3. IndiaMongolia Military Collaboration “NOMADIC ELEPHANT23”
