2. Government Funds Gaganyaan Mission with Rs. 9023 Crore
- The authorities have earmarked Rs. 9023 Crore for the realization of the objectives set for the Gaganyaan mission.
- The mission’s goal is to showcase the capacity for human spaceflight to Low Earth Orbit and ensure a safe return.
- Indigenous technologies, such as Human-rated launch vehicle, Life Support System, and Crew Training, are being developed by ISRO.

- The Indian Navy is partaking with its P8I aircraft, which touched down in Guam, USA on March 14, 2023.

6. Tripling of Solar Energy Capacity in India
- The Union Minister of Renewable Energy & Power, R. K. Singh, updated the Lok Sabha about the surge in solar projects. As of 28.02.2023, projects worth 64,380 MW have been initiated.
- Over the past five years, there’s been a staggering 197% growth in solar capacity, soaring from 21,651 MW to 64,380 MW.
- The government’s ambition is to reach an installed capacity of 500 GW from non-fossil sources by 2030, of which around 270 GW will be from solar.
