- Bhopal ranked at 2 and Chandigarh at 3 in the Swachh Survekshan-2018 results.
- Jharkhand is declared as the best performing state followed by Maharashtra.
2. Supreme Court orders floor test in Karnataka
- The SC ordered BJP to hold the floor test to prove majority in the assembly tomorrow at 4 pm.
- Earlier, BJP was given 15 days to prove majority.
3. Record production of food grain in 2017-18
- The production in India touched 279.5 mn tonnes.
- This is due to normal monsoon and a larger harvest of rice.

- Tully has worked for BBC for 3 decades.

2. CIA’s 1st female director appointed
- Gina Haspel has been appointed as CIA’s director.
- She had faced opposition amid her role in the torture of terror suspects after 9/11.
3. Congress opposes privatisation of space station
- The Congress opposed Donald Trump’s proposal to commercialise the International Space Station by 2025.
- Trump’s administration wanted to redirect the $3-4 bn spent on ISS to other space exploration projects.
Business News
1. Yes Bank launches 2525
- The effort would ensure that by 2015, at least 25% of all entrepreneurs in India are women.
- Agenda 25*25 will create a startup environment for budding women entrepreneurs.
2. Fox News names 1st female CEO
- Suzanne Scott has been named as the CEO of Fox News.
- Roger Ailes was ousted as CEO in 2016 amid sexual harassment allegations.
3. RCom shares surge by 65%
- This comes after RCom came in settlement talks with Ericsson.
- Ericsson is seeking to recover dues of Rs.1,155 cr from RCom and its subsidiaries.

1. Hamilton wins Spanish Grand Pix
- Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes finished 1st in Spanish Grand Pix.
- Valtteri Bottas came 2nd in the race.
2. SRH lose to RCB
- SRH lost by 15 runs to RCB.
- RCB moved to 5th position with 12 points from13 matches.
