1. Bengaluru’s Position in Global Traffic Movement Rankings
- Renowned as the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru is now distinguished as the world’s second slowest city for vehicular traffic, where a mere 10 kilometers can consume 29 minutes and 10 seconds.
- TomTom, a prominent Dutch multinational that excels in location technology, unveiled these insights in a recent report.
- Pune, another Indian city, made its mark by ranking sixth, whereas Delhi and Mumbai clinched the 34th and 47th spots, respectively. The former required 22 minutes and 10 seconds, and the latter demanded just a tad less at 21 minutes and 10 seconds to traverse 10 kilometers.
- London was declared the world’s slowest city, necessitating 36 minutes and 20 seconds for the same distance. It is worth noting that Dublin, Sapporo, Milan, Pune, Bucharest, Lima, Manila, and Bogota completed the top 10 list.

- The UAE and India have embarked on a new phase in their economic partnership by introducing the UAE India Business Council – UAE Chapter (UIBC-UC).
- This venture aspires to amplify bilateral trade and investments, with a vision to escalate bilateral trade to an impressive $100 billion and funnel $75 billion in investments from the UAE to India.
- Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, played a pivotal role in inaugurating the UIBC-UC in Dubai.

3. Inception of the APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission-2023
- Chengalpattu, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, witnessed the unveiling of the APJ Abdul Kalam Satellite Launch Vehicle Mission 2023, a collaborative endeavor of the APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation, Space Zone India, and the Martin Foundation.
- This pioneering satellite launch vehicle is designed to facilitate comprehensive weather research, scrutinize atmospheric conditions, and assess radiation levels.
- It stands as a testament to the prowess of Indian students, as those from grades 6 to 12, spanning various regions of the country—including 200 from the fishermen’s community—actively participated in its design and construction.

- The 49th session of the GST Council convened in New Delhi, under the stewardship of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
