  • Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Civil Aviation Minister, inaugurated ‘Udaan Bhawan’, a modern integrated office complex, at Safdarjung Airport in Delhi. 2. Hoysala Temples Recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites

  • The Hoysala temples of Belur, Halebid, and Somananthpura in Karnataka have been added to the UNESCO World Heritage list, known as the Sacred Ensembles of the Hoysala. This recognition comes after the recent addition of Santiniketan, taking India’s total to 42 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Built between the 12th and 13th centuries, these temples, predominantly in the Dravidian architectural style, exhibit influences from Central, Northern, and Western Indian architectural traditions.

3. Renaming of the Old Parliament Building as ‘Samvidhan Sadan’

7. RBI’s Classification of 15 NBFCs in the ‘Upper Layer’

  • For the fiscal year 2023-24, the Reserve Bank of India has identified 15 NBFCs that fall into the Upper Layer according to the Scale Based Regulation (SBR). Introduced in October 2021, the SBR aims to categorize NBFCs based on criteria like asset size. The Upper Layer encompasses those NBFCs that, in the RBI’s view, warrant stricter regulatory supervision.
