1. Integrated Tri-services Command

The Chief of the Defence staff General Bipin Rawat has announced the plan of establishing the first Integrated Tri-Services Command by June 2020.
The Integrated Tri-Services Command will be responsible for handing the air defence of India.

2. Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses

Indian Government has decided to rename ‘The Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses’ (IDSA), New Delhi as ‘Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses’.
The Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, New Delhi, is India’s foremost think tank for advanced research in international relations, especially defence, strategic and security issues, and providing training to civilian, military and paramilitary officers of the Indian government.

3. First single-use plastic-free airport of India

IGI Airport of Delhi has become the first single-use plastic-free airport of India.
Indira Gandhi International Airport serves as the major international aviation hub of the Indian capital city of New Delhi as well as India. The airport, spread over an area of 5,106 acres, is situated in Palam, 15 km south-west of the New Delhi railway station and 16 km from New Delhi city centre.

Koneru Humpy of India has won Cairns Cup chess tournament held at St.Louis, USA.
