1. Chapcharkut festival

  • The Chapcharkut festival will be celebrated in Mizoram.

2. Squadron of Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft

  • Indian Air Force has inducted its first squadron of Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft.

3. Highest Australian Civilian Honour to Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw

  • Australia has conferred its highest civilian honour ‘The Order of Australia honour’ on Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
  • Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur. She is the chairperson and managing director of Biocon Limited, a biotechnology company based in Bangalore, India and the chairperson of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

1. Zomato acquires Uber Eats

  • Zomato has announced the acquisition of Uber Eats business in India in an all-stock deal.

2. Forex reserves as per World Gold Council

  • The RBI holds 625.2 tonnes of Gold, forming 6.6 per cent of its forex reserves as per World Gold Council (WGC).
  • RBI ranked sixth among central banks in buying gold abroad
  • The central banks of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Poland bought more than India in 2019.

2. President of Archery Association of India

  • Union Minister Arjun Munda was elected as President of the suspended Archery Association of India.
  • Arjun Munda is a Minister of Tribal Affairs of Government of India. He was also Chief Minister of Indian state of Jharkhand. He has also served as a member of parliament having been elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the prestigious Jamshedpur constituency in the 2009 parliamentary elections.
