1. Chapcharkut festival

The Chapcharkut festival will be celebrated in Mizoram.
The festival is generally celebrated after the completion of the Jhum cultivation, which is also known as the slash and burn agriculture.

2. Squadron of Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft

Indian Air Force has inducted its first squadron of Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft.
It is carrying the BrahMos missiles in the South at its Thanjavur based in Tamil Nadu.

1. Global Social Mobility Index 2020

The first edition of ‘The Global Social Mobility Report 2020’ was released by World Economic Forum.
India has ranked has 76th position with a score of 42.7 in ‘The Global Social Mobility Report 2020’.

3. Highest Australian Civilian Honour to Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw

Australia has conferred its highest civilian honour ‘The Order of Australia honour’ on Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur. She is the chairperson and managing director of Biocon Limited, a biotechnology company based in Bangalore, India and the chairperson of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

1. Zomato acquires Uber Eats

Zomato has announced the acquisition of Uber Eats business in India in an all-stock deal.

2. Forex reserves as per World Gold Council

The RBI holds 625.2 tonnes of Gold, forming 6.6 per cent of its forex reserves as per World Gold Council (WGC).
RBI ranked sixth among central banks in buying gold abroad
The central banks of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Poland bought more than India in 2019.

‘Global Wealth and Lifestyle report’ is published by Swiss wealth management group Julius Baer Group.

4. IMF cuts India’s Growth Rate

IMF has cut India’s Projected Growth Rate for 2019-20 to 4.8% and has projected 5.8% growth in next fiscal.

1. Rome Ranking Series

Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has won the gold medal at the Rome Ranking Series 2020 held in Rome.
She defeated Ecuador’s Luisa Elizabeth Melendres in the 53 kg category

2. President of Archery Association of India

Union Minister Arjun Munda was elected as President of the suspended Archery Association of India.
Arjun Munda is a Minister of Tribal Affairs of Government of India. He was also Chief Minister of Indian state of Jharkhand. He has also served as a member of parliament having been elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the prestigious Jamshedpur constituency in the 2009 parliamentary elections.
