2. #OrangeTheWorld Global Campaign

  • Home Affairs Ministry in collaboration with United Nations Women has flagged off an awareness campaign to end violence against women from Delhi.
  • The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women, is a United Nations entity working for the empowerment of women. UN Women became operational in January 2011.

3. Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council

4. Satellite Cartosat-3

  • Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle, PSLV-C47 will launch Cartosat-3 and 13 commercial nanosatellites into Sun Synchronous orbit from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

  • United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has released a book named ‘From uttapam to sprouted dal parantha’.
  • The United Nations Children’s Fund is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children around the world.

3. World Television Day

  • In December 1996 the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 November as World Television Day.

4. World Hello Day

  • World Hello Day is a secular holiday observed annually on November 21, to express that conflicts should be resolved through communication rather than the use of force.
  • Participants verbally greet ten people or more on that day as an expression of the importance of personal communication in preserving peace.
  • The annual global event began to be celebrated in 1973 as a response to the Yom Kippur War.

5. World Philosophy Day

  • World Philosophy Day was proclaimed by UNESCO to be celebrated every 3rd Thursday of November.

1. Asian Development Bank to provide loan for Vijayanagara Channel Irrigation Systems

  • Karnataka State Tourism Development Corp has signed an MoU with IRCTC to market and operate the Golden Chariot train.
  • The Golden Chariot is a luxury tourist train that connects the important tourist spots in the Indian states of Karnataka, Goa, Kerala & Tamil Nadu as well as Pondicherry, depending on the selected itinerary. It is named after the Stone Chariot in the Vitthala Temple at Hampi.

  • Red Bull’s Max Verstappen (Netherlands) won F1 Brazilian Grand Prix defeating Pierre Gasly (France).
  • Max Emilian Verstappen is a Belgian-Dutch racing driver who competes under the Dutch flag in Formula One with Red Bull Racing.
