1. Shelly Oberoi from Aam Aadmi Party Wins Delhi Mayor Elections
- Shelly Oberoi, a member of the Aam Aadmi Party, emerged victorious in the Delhi Mayor elections by defeating the BJP candidate Rekha Gupta.
- She secured 150 votes, surpassing Rekha Gupta, who received 116 votes.
- Importantly, Shelly Oberoi’s win marked the first time in a decade that a woman has been elected as Delhi’s mayor.
- The elections took place following a Supreme Court decision that excluded nominated members from the voting process.
- In the Delhi Municipal Corporation polls, the Aam Aadmi Party secured 134 seats, while the BJP won 104 seats, and the Congress managed to secure nine seats.

2. Rajesh Rai Appointed as the New CMD of Indian Telephone Industries (ITI)
- The Union government has appointed Rajesh Rai as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) for a five-year term.
- Before taking up this role at ITI, Rajesh Rai held the position of General Manager (Administration) at Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) in Mumbai.
- ITI Limited, a government-owned company, operates in the telecommunications technology sector and was established as a departmental factory in 1948.
- The company has manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, Naini, Rae Bareli, Mankapur, and Palakkad.

3. University of Auckland and Tata Memorial Hospital Sign MoU for Cancer Care
- Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), a renowned cancer care hospital and research center in India, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Auckland (Waipapa Taumata Rau) to facilitate long-term collaboration in cancer care.
- Initial collaborative projects will focus on developing a digital platform:
- To streamline clinical trials and monitor study-related activities for patients, investigators, and regulators.
- To enhance the efficiency of outpatient clinics.
- To improve prescription medicine safety.

4. Kerala High Court Sets a Milestone by Publishing Judgments in Regional Language
- The Kerala High Court has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first high court in India to publish its judgments in the regional language.
- On International Mother Language Day, February 21, the Kerala High Court released two recent judgments in Malayalam.
- These Malayalam versions of judgments were made available on the court’s website alongside the English versions.
- The translation of judgments into Malayalam was accomplished using the Supreme Court Vidhik Anuwad Software (SUVAS).

5. INS Nireekshak Receives Navy Chief Unit Citation for Salvage Operations
- In a historic recognition by the Indian Navy, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Harikumar presented an ‘on-the-spot’ Unit Citation to INS Nireekshak in Kochi.
- This honor was bestowed upon INS Nireekshak for its exceptional deep-sea diving and salvage operations conducted under extremely challenging circumstances.
- Additionally, commendations were awarded to the crew members who played vital roles in the salvage operation.
- INS Nireekshak is a Dive Support and Submarine Rescue Vessel of the Indian Navy, constructed in 1985 by Mazgaon Shipbuilders.
