2. Churchgate Station Renaming in Honor of RBI’s First Governor

  • Mumbai’s Churchgate railway station will soon be renamed ‘Chintamanrao Deshmukh station’, paying tribute to Chintaman Dwarkanath Deshmukh, the first Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
  • This renaming decision was concluded during the initial national executive session of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena segment, which the Election Commission acknowledges as the authentic Shiv Sena.
  • Chintaman Dwarkanath Deshmukh commenced his role as the RBI Governor in February 1943, holding the position until 1949.

5. MoU Between Abu Dhabi Defence Firm and India’s HAL
