1. Constitution Day
- Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India.
- On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950.
2. Jolly Grant Airport to be renamed
- Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport will be renamed after late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

3. Quadricycles for personal use
- Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved the sale of Quadricycles for personal use in India under the Motor Vehicles Act 1988.

4. Indian Railways first airport-like stations
- Indian Railways’ first two world-class railway stations with state-of-the-art amenities – Habibganj (Madhya Pradesh) and Gandhinagar(Gujarat) will be ready by early 2019.
- The Habibganj railway station is the first in India to be redeveloped under the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model.
International News
1. World Conference on Lung Health
- India will host the 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health in 2019
- Hyderabad will host the Conference Named ‘Ending the Emergency: Science, Leadership, Action’ which will start in October 2019.
2. Satellite Marathon
- Roscosmos is planning to venture into IOT with the launch of ‘Marathon’ Satellite System.
- The Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities, commonly known as Roscosmos, is a state corporation responsible for the space flight and cosmonautics program for the Russian Federation.
3. Google Family Link App
- Google has launched the Family Link App in India.
- The app is meant to help parents remotely control and keep track of their children’s Android device activities and help them set digital ground rules.

1. Uber Eats’ Brand Ambassador
- Uber Eats has appointed Alia Bhatt as its first brand ambassador of India.
- Uber Eats is an American online food ordering and delivery platform launched by Uber in 2014 and based in San Francisco, California. Users can order food from participating restaurants on their website or with a smartphone/tablet application.
2. CII-Exim Bank Business Award
- Bharat Electronics Ltd has awarded Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Exim Bank Business Excellence Award for being a role-model organisation.
- Bharat Electronics Limited is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence company with about nine factories, and several regional offices in India. It is owned by the Indian Government and primarily manufactures advanced electronic products for the Indian Armed Forces.
3. OECD’s GDP Forecast for India
- Acc. to Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s ‘2018 Economic Outlook’, India’s GDP to slow down marginally, but remains strong at 7.5% in 2019 and 2020.

4. State Bank of Mauritius
- State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) has appointed Sidharth Rath as its Managing Director for India Operation.
- SBM Bank is the 1st foreign bank to set up a Wholly Owned Subsidiary to provide universal banking service with a focus on Wholesale Banking, Trade Finance, Capital Market and Retail Banking.
Sports News
1. Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championship
- Bhavani Devi has become first Indian to win gold medal(In Sabre event) in Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championship
- Senior Commonwealth Fencing Championship 2018 was held in Canberra, Australia.
2. T10 League
- T10 League is a professional ten-over cricket league launched and owned by T10 Sports Management. The league is approved by the Emirates Cricket Board. It is the first ever internationally approved ten-over league. Matches are 10-over-a-side and the duration of a match is 90 minutes.
- Pravin Tambe (India and Team Sindhis) has registered a hat-trick in T10 league.
3. Laureus Awards (Oscars of sports)
- Monaco will host Laureus World Sports Awards 2019 on February 18 2019
- Former India cricket captains Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar are members of the Laureus Academy.
