2. Successful ISRO Launch of LVM 3 -M3 Rocket with 36 Satellites
- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) accomplished a successful launch of India’s Launch Vehicle Mark (LVM) 3 -M3 rocket, which carried 36 satellites for the One Web India-2 mission. This launch took place at the second launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
- With this launch, OneWeb now boasts a total of 616 satellites in orbit.
- The 43-meter tall launch vehicle executed all three stages within the stipulated timeframe, including the ignition of the cryogenic engine.

- Indian women boxers Nikhat Zareen and Lovlina Borgohain secured gold medals at the Women’s World Boxing Championships in 2023.
- Nikhat Zareen clinched the gold in the 50kg light flyweight category by defeating two-time Asian champion Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam with a dominant 5-0 score.
- Lovlina Borgohain, competing in the 75kg middleweight division, secured her first gold medal at the championship after previously winning bronze in the 2018 and 2019 editions. She achieved this feat by defeating Australia’s Caitlin Parker.
