  • Ahead of the Moscow-format gathering in Kazan, Russia, the Taliban has approached India for economic support and formal recognition. The significance of this move is magnified due to China’s growing relationship with the Taliban and the recent appointment of their envoy in Kabul. Represented by Suhail Shaheen, the Taliban expressed its intent to establish positive relations with India in hopes of economic help and global recognition. Although India had previously declined to acknowledge the Taliban administration due to human rights violations, it might consider sending representatives to the Kazan conference. However, there’s no official confirmation yet.

  • The 13th Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference, co-hosted by the Indian and US Army Pacific, took place at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.
