3. Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System
- Rajasthan has been ranked first in free medicine scheme implementation issued by National Health Mission under Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System.
- The National Health Mission was launched by the government of India in 2013 subsuming the National Rural Health Mission and National Urban Health Mission. It was further extended in March 2018, to continue until March 2020.
4. September as a month of Nutrition
- Prime Minister Modi has announced to celebrate September as a month of Nutrition.
- Nutrition is the science that interprets the interaction of nutrients and other substances in food in relation to maintenance, growth, reproduction, health and disease of an organism. It includes food intake, absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism and excretion.
- There are two main types of nutrients, macronutrients and micronutrients. The three main categories of macronutrients include carbohydrate, protein, and fat. The two types of micronutrients are vitamins and minerals, and these are extra molecules that cells need to make energy.

1. COP-14 of United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification
- India will be hosting 14th session of Conference of Parties of United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification for the first time.
- The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification in Those Countries Experiencing Serious Drought and/or Desertification,
- Particularly in Africa (UNCCD) is a Convention to combat desertification and mitigate the effects of drought through national action programs that incorporate long-term strategies supported by international cooperation and partnership arrangements.

2. First Artificial Intelligence Chip ‘Spring Hill’
- Intel Corp launched AI Chip ‘Spring Hill’ or Nervana NNP (Neural Network Processor)-I 1000 at Stanford University in California.

3. NASA honours Rolling Stones
- NASA has named a rock on Mars in honour of Iconic English band, ‘The Rolling Stones’.
- The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first stable line-up consisted of bandleader Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Ian Stewart.

- Central Vigilance Commission has constituted a 4-member Advisory Board for Banking Frauds.

4. OTP facility for ATM withdrawals
- Canara Bank has launched India’s first One-Time Password facility for ATM withdrawals.
- Canara Bank is one of the largest public sector banks owned by the Government of India. It is headquartered in Bengaluru. It was established at Mangalore in 1906 by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai. It is one of the oldest public sector banks in the country.

1. Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award for 2018
- The Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award is the highest national recognition for outstanding achievements in the field of adventure on land, sea and air.
- A cash Award of Rs.5.00 lakh and a certificate of honour is given to each Awardee.
- Tenzing Norgay was a Nepali-Indian Sherpa mountaineer. He was one of the first two individuals known to reach the summit of Mount Everest, which he accomplished with Edmund Hillary on 29 May 1953.

2. 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships
- The 2019 AIBA World Boxing Championships will be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia from September 7 to September 21, 2019.
- The AIBA World Boxing Championships and the AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships are biennial amateur boxing competitions organised by the International Boxing Association (AIBA), which is the sport governing body.
- India’s Mary Kom is the most successful boxer in women’s boxing having won 6 golds and a silver (From 2001 to 2018).

3. SAG Games (South Asian Games) 2019
- The 2019 South Asian Games, officially the XIII South Asian Games, is a major multi-sport event will be held from 1–10 December 2019 in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal.
- The South Asian Games are a biennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council, formed in 1983.
- At present, SAG are joined by eight members namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
