1. Guru Ghasidas National Park

2. Book ‘Hemant Karkare -A Daughter’s Memoir’

  • Book titled ‘Hemant Karkare -A Daughter’s Memoir’ by his daughter JuiKarkare Navare was released in Mumbai.
  • Hemant Karkare AC was the chief of the Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad. He was killed in action by Pakistani terrorists during 2008 Mumbai attacks. In 2009, he was posthumously given the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime gallantry decoration.

3. Immunisation campaign against the filariasis or Filaria

  • Uttar Pradesh Government has launched a massive immunisation campaign against the filariasis or Filaria.
  • The central government has set the year 2021 as the deadline for complete eradication of filaria in the country.
  • Filariasis is a parasitic disease caused by an infection with roundworms of the Filarioidea type. These are spread by blood-feeding diptera such as black flies and mosquitoes.

  • Indian journalist Neha Dixit is the recipients of International Press Freedom Award by Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
  • The Committee to Protect Journalists is an American independent non-profit, non-governmental organization, based in New York City, New York with correspondents around the world. CPJ promotes press freedom and defends the rights of journalists.

3. Exercise ‘Milan 2020’

  • Indian Navy will host military drill ‘Multilateral Naval Exercise (Milan 2020)’ in March 2020.

  • Kerala cadre senior IAS officer Suman Billa will join the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) as the Director of its Technical Cooperation and Silk Road Development

2. ‘Quality Ratna’ Award
