  • India Infoline Finance Limited has released Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2019.
  • For the 8th consecutive year, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries has topped the list of richest Indians. According to the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List, Ambani secured the first rank with a net worth of Rs 3,80,700 crore.

3. ‘Professor Ayushman’ Comic Book

  • ‘Professor Ayushman’ comic book has been released by Ministry of Ayush in New Delhi.

  • Visa has appointed Badminton Player PV Sindhu as its Brand Ambassador.

  • Government has reconstituted Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) for 2 years.

  • EAC-PM is a non-constitutional, non-permanent and independent body constituted to give economic advice to the Government of India, specifically the Prime Minister on key economic issues like inflation, microfinance, and industrial output.

Sports News

1. IAAF Veteran Pin

  • Former Sprinter PT Usha was presented the Veteran Pin by International Association of Athletics Federations.
  • PT Usha won five gold medals 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles and the 4x400m relay besides a bronze at the 1985 Asian Games in Jakarta.
  • Her most memorable performance came in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics where she missed the bronze by one-hundredth of a second thus becoming the first Indian to reach the finals of the 400m hurdles.

2. IBSF World Snooker

  • Indian team of Pankaj Advani and Aditya Mehta has won the ‘IBSF World Snooker Title defeating Thailand in the final.
  • IBSF World Snooker Team Event was held in Mandalay, Myanmar.

3. Adille Sumariwalla

  • Adille Sumariwalla has been elected as the member of International Association of Athletics Federations council.
  • He is presently serving as the president of the Athletics Federation of India (AFI).
