  • Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport of Indore has been awarded Worlds Standardization Certification by the United Kingdom.
  • It has been declared as an international airport.
  • Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar was the Holkar Queen of the Maratha Malwa kingdom, India. Rajmata Ahilyabai was born in the village of Chondi in Jamkhed, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. She moved the capital to Maheshwar south of Indore on the Narmada River.

2. Commanding-in-Chief of Eastern Naval Command

1. RTGS Timings

  • RBI has extended Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) Timings from 4:30 pm to 6 pm.
  • Real-time gross settlement systems (RTGS) is a funds transfer system where money transfer takes place from one bank to another on a “real time” basis and “gross” basis. Settlement in the “real time” means that the transaction happens almost immediately.

  • Indian writer Annie Zaidi was awarded as the winner of Nine Dots Prize 2019.

In addition to essays, she also writes poetry, short stories, plays and has published a novella.
  • The Nine Dots Prize is a book prize for creative thinking that tackles contemporary societal issues.

  • Lewis Hamilton won the Monaco Grand Prix 2019 defeating Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.

2. 2019 Sudirman Cup

  • The 2019 Sudirman Cup was the 16th edition of the Sudirman Cup played in Nanning, China.
