- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), partnering with the DRDO and Indian Air Force (IAF), has executed a precise landing trial as part of their Reusable Launch Vehicle Autonomous Landing Mission (RLV LEX) test.
- This triumphant test was conducted at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
- ISRO’s ambition with this venture is to design Reusable Launch Vehicles (RLVs) or space planes/shuttles that can voyage to low Earth orbits, deliver payloads, and subsequently return to Earth for reuse.

2. Historic Achievement in India’s Defence Exports for FY 2022-23
- For the fiscal year 2022-23, India has set an unparalleled benchmark in defense exports, totaling 15,920 crore rupees. This amount marks an upswing of around 3,000 crore rupees from the preceding fiscal year (2021-22).
- India’s defense products are now exported to over 85 nations.
- Highlighted export items encompass Dornier-228 aircraft, 155 mm Advanced Towed Artillery Guns (ATAGs), Brahmos Missiles, Akash Missile Systems, Simulators, and a range of other defense apparatus like Armoured Vehicles, PINAKA Rockets & Launchers.

- Israel has successfully propelled the “Ofek-13” spy satellite into the cosmos utilizing the Shavit launch vehicle, which took off from the Palmachim Airbase spaceport.
- This satellite, crafted by the national enterprise Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), marks a continuation of a series of indigenously developed satellites, with the lineage starting as early as 1988.
- Upon launch, the satellite flawlessly entered its orbit, initiated its data relay, and successfully concluded an initial batch of tests.
