1. Mumbai Weather Live App
- Mumbai Weather Live App launched by The Union Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
- This is a mobile application that to provide information on extreme weather events in Mumbai.
2. PRASHAD Scheme
- National Mission on Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive (PRASHAD),Under the PRASHAD Scheme, 26 religious cities/sites in 19 States have been identified for development.
- In these religious places the development in tourism related infrastructure through central financial assistance to the Central Agencies will be done.
3. Mission Satyanishtha
- Indian Railways has launched a new programme titled Mission Satyanishtha to counter corruption.
- Main objectives Mission Satyanishtha is to train every employee to understand need and value of ethics in personal and public life.
4. 81 investment projects worth ₹60,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh
- Narendra Modi launched 81 investment projects worth ₹60,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh.
- Jio and BSNL are investing ₹10,000 crore and ₹5,000 crore respectively for laying OFC Network.
International News
1. Indo Nepal Tourism Forum
- A meeting of tourism Joint Working Group (JWG) between India and Nepal was held in Kathmandu and it was agreed to set up the Indo Nepal Tourism Forum to promote tourism.
- Ramayana and Buddhist circuits to be promoted through common branding by India and Nepal
2. 1st Hindu candidate to win a general National Assembly seat in Pakistan
- Mahesh Kumar Malani of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) has become the 1st Hindu candidate to win a general National Assembly seat in Pakistan.
- Earlier this year, Krishna Kumari also had become the 1st Hindu woman to be elected to Pakistan’s Senate.
3. International Army Games 2018
- International Army Games 2018 at Patriot Park in Moscow region was started by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.
- The opening ceremony was attended by Indian Ambassador to Russia, Pankaj Saran.
- Indian teams are taking part in two major competitions– Tank Biathlon event and Elbrus Ring competition.

1. 16-member committee to examine motor third party insurance pricing aspects
- IRDAI has constituted a 16-member committee to examine motor third party insurance pricing aspects.
- Head of this Committee is P. J. Joseph. The committee also made recommendations on the premium rates for 2019-20.
2. INFRA Icon Award
- ONGC was awarded the INFRA Icon Award in the ‘Global Energy’ category.
- The theme of the event was: ‘Smart cities envisages to take infrastructure development to a next level’.
3. Coal Production has increased by 105 MT
- Coal India Limited Coal production has increased by 105 MT during the last four years as compared to an increase of 31 MT during the period of 2010-11 to 2013-14 (4 years).
- The opening of coal mines is a continuous activity which is undertaken regularly to meet the increasing demand of coal in the economy.
4. Two ‘Made in India’ tank engines are handed over to the Army
- Nirmala Sitharaman handed over two high-power multi-fuel tank engines to Vice-Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Devraj Anbu.

- ‘Mohun Bagan ‘Ratna’ award was conferred to former India international Pradip Chowdhury.

2. Jordan Junior and Cadet Open 2018
- India won 15 medals including two gold, three silver and ten bronze.
- Jordan Junior and Cadet Open (Table Tennis) was held in Amman, Jordan.
3. Brazil reappointed Coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi
- Brazil reappointed Coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi(Coach Tite) until the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
- Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is the national governing body for football in Brazil.
