1. Kerala slashes fuel price by Rs.1/L

• The govt decided to cut excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs.1/L which will be effective from June 1.
• This will cause a revenue loss of Rs.500 cr annually.

• A massive fire is raging since a day in a rubber godown in Delhi.
• Th fire is on in spite of 15 fire tenders at the spot and water poured by Mi-17 helicopter

1. US warns India against purchase of missiles from Russia

• US warned India that the purchase would strain the relationship between India and US.
• This comes after India decided to acquire S-400 defence system despite the sanctions on defence trade with Russia.

2. UAE bans fruit imports from Kerala

• The UAE banned imports after the outbreak of Nipah virus in Kerala.
• The virus has claimed 12 lives in the state.

3. 15 MoUs between India and Indonesia

• The nations signed MoUs in the fields of defence, scientific and technologic cooperation among others.
• They also agreed to develop further cooperation in maritime sector.

1. Apple App Store earns 10 times more than Google Play Store

• Apple makes 4 times more net revenue per download than Google.
• App Store contributed to 119% growth in revenue.

2. Fortis initiates fresh bidding process

• This comes after the Fortis Health board is reconstituted.
• The bidders in the new round should submit offers with a minimum investment of Rs.1,500 cr.

3. One97 posts 38% rise in revenue

• Paytm’s parent posted increase in revenue at Rs.828.6 cr for FY17.
• The revenue of One97 Communications was Rs.597.8 cr in FY16.
