  • Out of 45 votes, Saudi Arabia garnered 43, securing the hosting rights.

2. India’s First Hydrogen Train Set to Roll Out by December 2023

  • Union Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw, revealed plans for India’s inaugural hydrogen-powered train to operate by December 2023.
  • The train is expected to initially run on heritage tracks like Kalka-Shimla, with further expansion in the pipeline.
  • A smaller version of the Vande Bharat Express, named Vande Metro, is currently under development.

    • This alliance seeks to offer a mix of local and internationally acclaimed brands to Indian consumers, ensuring top-notch quality.
    • Having been in operation for over 70 years, Maliban Biscuits is a well-regarded brand in Sri Lanka, recognized for its quality.
  • Currently exporting to over 35 countries across five continents, this partnership aims to bolster RPCL’s presence in the biscuit sector.

4. Patanjali Foods Collaborates with Nagaland for Palm Oil Production

  • The Nagaland government has entered into an agreement with Patanjali Foods Limited to enhance palm oil cultivation and processing.
  • This collaboration, as a part of the National Mission on Edible Oils-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP), will primarily focus on Zone-II areas in Nagaland, including Mokokchung, Longleng, and Mon districts.
  • This partnership is expected to bring substantial benefits to Nagaland’s oil palm cultivators.
