Word-1: No-brainer
Meaning: Something that is simple and easy to understand or decide.
Synonyms: cinch, breeze, walkover, piece of cake, easy decision, obvious choice, slam dunk
Usage Examples:
1. Choosing the healthier meal option was a no-brainer for her.
2. Given the circumstances, accepting the job offer was a no-brainer.
3. When compared to the other proposals, this one is a no-brainer.
4. For an avid reader, getting a library membership is a no-brainer.

Word-2: Hawkish
Meaning: Advocating an aggressive or war like policy, especially in foreign affairs.
Synonyms: aggressive, belligerent, militant, combative, warlike, bellicose, confrontational
Usage Examples:
1. His hawkish stance on defense alarmed some of the more peace-oriented members of the committee.
2. The senator’s hawkish remarks were seen as a call to action.
3. The country’s hawkish approach led to increased tensions in the region.
4. Many voters were wary of the candidate’s hawkish record.

Word-3: Retreat
Meaning: (1) Withdraw from enemy forces as a result of their superior power or after a defeat. (2) Move back or withdraw, especially so as to remove oneself from a difficult or uncomfortable situation.
Synonyms: withdraw, retire, back off, pull back, back away, backtrack, recoil
Usage Examples:
1. The army had to retreat after a fierce battle.
2. She decided to retreat to the countryside for some solitude.

Word-4: Stumble
Meaning: Trip or momentarily lose one’s balance; make a mistake or repeated mistakes in speaking.
Synonyms: trip, falter, totter, blunder, fumble, fluff, bungle
Usage Examples:
1. He took a stumble and fell down the stairs.
2. During her speech, she had a minor stumble but quickly recovered.

Word-5: Rote
Meaning: Mechanical or habitual repetition of something, typically in order to learn it.
Synonyms: memorization, repetition, parrot-fashion, by heart, mechanically, automatically

Word-6: Crucible
Meaning: A situation of severe trial, or in which different elements interact, leading to the creation of something new; a ceramic or metal container in which metals or other substances may be melted or subjected to very high temperatures.
Synonyms: melting pot, cauldron, furnace, retort, vessel, test, trial
Usage Examples:
1. The intense training camp was a crucible that tested the mettle of every participant.

Word-7: Impulse
Meaning: A sudden strong and unreflective urge or desire to act.
Synonyms: urge, instinct, inclination, whim, spur, compulsion, drive
Usage Examples:
1. On an impulse, she bought the painting.
2. He had to fight his impulse to shout in anger.
3. Chocolate was her weakness, and she often bought it on impulse.

Word-8: Diktat
Meaning: An order or decree imposed by someone in power without popular consent.
Synonyms: edict, command, decree, order, directive, injunction, mandate
Usage Examples:

Word-9: Matrimony
Meaning: The state or ceremony of being married, marriage.
