Word-1: Chintz
Meaning: A cotton cloth printed in colours with flower designs or other patterns and usually glazed.
Synonyms: Cheap, frowzy, schlocky, shabby, sleazy, tacky.
Usage Examples:
1. The comfortable chairs and sofa are covered in a shiny white chintz with purple thistle motifs.
2. The servers are still standing attentively amongst the mahogany and chintz.
3. Apart from the bed, the only other piece of furniture in the room was an upholstered in red-tinged chintz.

Word-2: Curatorial
Meaning: A person who oversees or manages a place (such as a museum or zoo) that offers exhibits.
Synonyms: Creatural, criteria, cultural, criterias, territorial, critical, retral, guttural.
Usage Examples:
1. So curatorial retailing chain is the inevitable result of this trend.
2. I have reproduced the Curatorial records for both guns below.
3. The show could be called a Great Leap Somewhere in Chinese curatorial terms.

Word-3: Coup
Meaning: A sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government.
Synonyms: Action, overthrow, plot, revolution, accomplishment, deed, exploit, feat, stratagem, stroke, stunt, upset etc.
Usage Examples:
1. She pulled off a remarkable coup in getting the president to agree to an interview.
2. There have been seven coup attempts against the beleaguered government.
3. It was a tremendous coup for the local paper to get an exclusive interview with Prince Charles.

Word-4: Pious
Meaning: Having or showing a dutiful spirit of reverence for God or an earnest wish to fulfil religious obligations.
Synonyms: Born-again, devout, righteous, saintly, sanctimonious, clerical, devoted, divine, ecclesiastical, godly, goody-goody, orthodox etc.
Usage Examples:
1. There are 613 commandments required of a pious Jew.
2. But these were merely pious hopes.
3. Charles’s parents were pious and uneducated folk.

Word-5: Homilies
Meaning: A religious discourse which is intended primarily for spiritual edification rather than doctrinal instruction.
Synonyms: Lecture, doctrine, lesson.
Usage Examples:
1. The Clementine Homilies, an early Christian document, also taught many incarnations of Jesus.
2. He will deliver sermons on the street at the drop of a hat.
3. Do not be tempted to dismiss such corporate homilies as boardroom hokum.

Word-6: Blinkered
Meaning: A blinkered view, attitude, or approach is narrow and does not take into account other people’s opinions.
Synonyms: Narrow-minded, limited, restricted, inward-looking, conventional.
Usage Examples:
1. I am sometimes blinkered, which upsets my lover and me.
2. He seems so blinkered that he cannot see what is happening around him.
3. He thinks the talk is motivated by blinkered ideology, not a rational assessment of natural change.

Word-7: Amnestic
Meaning: Amnestic disorders are caused by structural or chemical damage to parts of the brain.
Synonyms: Amnesic.
Usage Examples:
1. Alzheimer’s disease in its early stage may cause amnestic mild cognitive impairment.
2. Conclusion Sedative, amnestic slow induction anaesthesia with nasotracheal intubation and timely extubation are adequate measures in preventing perioperative death of OSAHS.
3. Objective To investigate the sedation and amnestic effect of varied dosages of Midazolam in epidural anaesthesia.

Word-8: Majoritarianism
Meaning: The idea that the numerical majority of a population should have the final say in determining decisions
Usage Examples:
1. Socialists styled themselves as liberals and then spoke glowingly of democracy, executing a deft bait and switch to supplant liberty with majoritarianism.

Word-9: Mansplaining
Meaning: To explain something to a woman condescendingly, assuming she has no knowledge about the topic.
Synonyms: Manipulating, misplacing, explaining, misplacing etc.
Usage Examples:
1. I know some women guilty of mansplaining and even some men who mansplain patriarchy as a historical force for good.was mansplaining to her about female
