Word-1: Artisan
Meaning: Make attractive and creative work with their hands, like jewellery or pottery.
Synonyms: Builder, carpenter, craftsman, professional, artificer, master, hand craftsman.
Usage Examples:
1. Science subjects and laboratories were almost absent, and applied science was the province of artisan workers, not gentlemen.

Word-3: Weary
Meaning: Lacking strength, energy, or freshness because of a need for rest or sleep tired.
Synonyms: Bored, disgusted, exhausted, fatigued, impatient, jaded, overworked, sleepy, beat, bushed, discontented, drained, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Young people weary of countless restrictions and impediments.
2. She forced her weary, fuddled brain to work.
3. They’re getting weary of this silly war.

Word-4: Vaunted
Meaning: To vaunt is to brag, boast, flaunt, and go on and on about how great something is.
Synonyms: Prate, boast, crow, gasconade, strut, brag, flaunt, display, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Nevertheless, the vaunted Spartan army was defeated by Thebes in 371 BC at the Battle of Leuctra.
2. Few dictionaries other than the vaunted Oxford English Dictionary provide enough usage examples.
3. Here, modern art’s vaunted reductivism is stopped just short of an essentialist zero-degree; rather, it takes shape as stylization.

Word-5: Consumerism
Meaning: Consumerism is the selfish and frivolous collecting of products or economic materialism.
Synonyms: Business, capitalism, commercialism, industrialism, merchandising, trading, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Green Believers must quicken these connections. Green consumerism is a hopeful token of more substantial change.

Word-6: Martyrdom
Meaning: The suffering of death due to adherence to a cause, especially one’s religious faith.
Synonyms: Persecution, affliction, agony, anguish, crucifixion, devotion, distress, mortification, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Especially on a rainy day, simply martyrdom.
2. For our part, we prefer martyrdom to success. John Brown is more significant than Washington, and Pisacane is greater than Garibaldi.

Word-7: Decadence
Meaning: The act or process of falling into an inferior condition or state; deterioration; decay.
Synonyms: Corruption, debasement, decay, declension, decline, degeneracy, degeneration, degradation, devolution, dissipation, dissolution, downfall, etc.
Usage Examples:

Word-8: Ordained
Meaning: To officially make someone a priest or religious leader in a religious ceremony.
Synonyms: Appointed, commanded, determined, established, ordered, etc.
Usage Examples:

2. The King ordained that deer should not be hunted without a royal licence.

Word-9: Steadfast
Meaning: Staying the same for a long time and not changing quickly or unexpectedly.
Synonyms: Abiding, adamant, ardent, dedicated, faithful, inflexible, intense, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Though there are strong opponents, munchkin aficionados remain steadfast.
2. Be steadfast and pledge yourself that you will no longer compromise in any way.
3. He has been a steadfast supporter of balanced budgets and shrinking the size of government.
