1. Clamour
• A loud and confused noise, especially that of people shouting.
Usage: Only the clamour of kids playing in the schoolyard indicates a sign of life.

2. Egg someone on
• To encourage, urge, or dare someone to continue doing something, usually something unwise.
Usage: John wouldn’t have done the dangerous experiment if his brother hadn’t egged him on.
3. Consonance
• Agreement or compatibility between opinions or actions.
Usage: Consonance between conservation measures and existing agricultural practice.
4. Nodule
• A nodule is a growth of abnormal tissue.
• Nodules can develop just below the skin. They can also develop in deeper skin tissues or internal organs.
5. Accretion
• Growth or increase by the gradual accumulation of additional layers or matter.
Usage: The accretion of sediments in coastal mangroves of Sundarbans.
• In astrophysics, accretion is the accumulation of particles into a massive object by gravitationally attracting more matter, typically gaseous matter, in an accretion disk. Most astronomical objects, such as galaxies, stars, and planets, are formed by accretion processes.
6. Umbilical
• Extremely close or inseparable.
Usage: The umbilical link between Chai and Pakoda.
• Connecting someone or something to a source of essential supplies.
Usage: A tractor-mounted unit in the field is fed through an umbilical hose.
7. Electrospinning Method
• Electrospinning is a fibre production method which uses electric force to draw charged threads of polymer solutions or polymer melts up to fibre diameters in the order of some hundred nanometres.
• Electrospinning shares characteristics of both electro spraying and conventional solution dry spinning of fibres.

• Of a process performed or taking place in a test tube, culture dish, or elsewhere outside a living organism.

• A person opposed to new technology or ways of working.
Usage: He’s nothing but a small-minded luddite resisting progress.
10. Ruffle
• Disorder or disarrange someone’s hair, typically by running one’s hands through it.
Usage: The father laughs and jovially ruffles his son’s hair.
11. Toothsome
• Temptingly tasty.
Usage: Let’s have some toothsome Pani Puri.
Synonyms: tasty, delicious, luscious, and mouth-watering
12. Chatterbox
• A chatterbox is a person who tends to use a whole lot of words without having much of anything to say.
Usage: My memories of him will be as the little chatterbox, cracking the one liners, hee-hawing uncontrollably.
13. Amble
• Walk or move at a slow, relaxed pace.
Usage: They ambled along the riverbank holding hands.
Synonyms: stroll, saunter, wander, and meander.
