Word-1: Laudable
Meaning: Of actions and behaviour deserving praise, even if there is little or no success.
Synonyms: Commendable, creditable, praiseworthy, deserving, estimable, excellent, mean, meritable, meritorious, of note, praisable, stellar, terrific, thankworthy, worthy, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Faith ceases to be laudable when it is blind faith.
2. It is a laudable tale, but it often seems like it’s on autopilot.
3. That is wholly laudable, and I suspect it does not divide the parties.
Word-2: Lacunae
Meaning: An absent part, especially in a book or other piece of writing / a hollowed-out place or a cavity within a bone.
Synonyms: Break, cavity, depression, gap, hiatus, interim, interval, opening, space.
Usage Examples:
1. This would partly address the regulatory lacunae revealed by successive scandals at the NYSE.
2. Results under an optical microscope, the bone lacunae were in circular permutation around the Haversian canal, and the canaliculi communicated the lacunae and Haversian canal or between the lacunae.

Word-3: Acerbic
Meaning: Used to describe something spoken or written in a way that is direct, clever, and cruel.

Word-4: Cogent
Meaning: A convincing argument, reason, etc., that is clearly expressed and persuades people to believe it.
Synonyms: Compelling, convincing, forceful, persuasive, telling, weighty, apposite, apt, conclusive, consequential, convictive, fitting, forcible, inducing, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. On the threshold of war, there is always cogent justification for entering it.
2. There are some cogent reasons for using paper sludge, he claims.
3. His assessment may be the most cogent and logical around today.
Word-5: Neoliberal
Meaning: Someone who supports a large amount of freedom for markets, with little government control or spending and low taxes.
Usage Examples:
1. In effect, neoliberal discourse is not just one discourse among many.
2. Neorealism and neoliberal institutionalism are the two primary schools in the 4 Western international relations theory debate, in which international cooperation was one of the core issues.
3. That system, called neoliberal globalization, was the system that just blew up.
Word-6: Turpitude
Meaning: Word that represents depraved behaviour / is very immoral behaviour.
Synonyms: Baseness, corruption, criminality, debasement, debauchery, degradation, evil, immorality, lewdness, licentiousness, perversion, sinfulness, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The frequency of envy makes it so familiar that it escapes our notice; nor do we often reflect upon its turpitude or malignity till we happen to feel its influence.
2. You can still be dismissed for committing high crime or moral turpitude.
3. Despite these multiple mechanisms, the problem of official corruption remains earnest, and leaders routinely cite moral turpitude as one of the party’s main challenges.
Word-7: Fanciful
Meaning: Not likely to succeed or happen in the real world.
Synonyms: Absurd, bizarre, extravagant, fantastic, fantastical, fictional, imaginative, offbeat, preposterous, unreal, whimsical, aerial, blue-sky, capricious, castles in the air, chimerical, curious, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. But these themes are always interspersed with more fanciful ones: grimacing masks, weird animals, and exuberant abstract patterns.
2. Fanciful though this may sound, Blackburn is a skilful and subtle enough writer to pull it off.
3. No, too fanciful to consider him in the role of murderer.
Word-8: Astounding
Meaning: You are shocked or amazed that it could exist or happen.
Synonyms: Astonishing, breathtaking, eye-popping, mind-boggling, overwhelming, shocking, startling, surprising, wondrous, confounding, stupefying, mind-blowing, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. One of them constructed the astounding rock-hewn churches at Labella.
2. Through this astounding revolution, she rediscovered her original pride and dignity as a great civilization.
3. Is it not astounding that half of all crime in Britain is committed by people under the age of 21?
Word-9: Munitions
Meaning: Military weapons such as guns and bombs/materials used in war, especially weapons and ammunition.
Synonyms: Ammo, armament, arsenal, bombs, bullets, explosives, grenades, gunpowder, missiles, shells, torpedos, weapons.
Usage Examples:
1. This is a particular challenge for munitions used by ground forces.
2. Allied M 8 Armoured Car Armour upgrade Munitions cost reduced by 25.
