Word-1: Promulgation
Meaning: A public statement containing information about an event that has happened or is going to happen.
Synonyms: Dissemination, proclamation, advertisement, advice, annunciation, briefing, broadcast, broadcasting, bulletin, communication, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The new law comes into force from the day of its promulgation.
2. All the new autonomous communities established parliaments and a regulatory framework within four years of promulgating the new Constitution.
3. Hugh, therefore, had initiated the new policy even before its official promulgation.

Word-2: Hullabaloo
Meaning: Is a lot of noise or fuss made by people who are angry or excited about something.
Synonyms: Bedlam, brouhaha, chaos, clamor, commotion, confusion, free-for-all, furor, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The first performance of the iconoclastic composition caused a tremendous hullabaloo in the audience.
2. The media should play a stabilizing role instead of making such a hullabaloo.
3. They like to live in the countryside, far away from crowds and hullabaloo.

Word-3: Unprecedented
Meaning: Something unprecedented is not known, experienced, or done before.
Synonyms: Bizarre, extraordinary, fantastic, miraculous, new, remarkable, singular, uncommon, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The ceremony was disrupted by unprecedented heckling and slogan-chanting.
2. The scheme has been hailed as an unprecedented success.
3. Each home boasts an unprecedented level of quality throughout.

Word-4: Contours
Meaning: Stresses the quality of an outline or a bounding surface as smooth, jagged, curving, or sharply angled.
Synonyms: Curve, silhouette, delineation, figuration, figure, form, lineament, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The muscles and the contours appeared to do different things and point in different directions.
2. A topographical map shows the contours of the earth’s surface.
3. Conversely, political behaviour helps influence the contours of the Constitution.

Word-5: Jostling
Meaning: The action of knocking or pushing roughly against someone to move past them or get more space in a crowd.
Synonyms: Scramble, shove, hustle, shoulder, bulldoze, nudge, crowd, press, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Compared to mere jostling for social position, fighting for females is essential.
2. The children moved forward, jostling to get to the front and see the magician.
3. Pigeons there on the parapet opposite, squabbling, jostling for position.

Word-6: Foster
Meaning: To encourage the development or growth of ideas or feelings.
Synonyms: Advance, back, champion, cherish, cultivate, encourage, feed, foment, forward, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The mayor has tried to foster civic pride by building a new public library in the city.
2. They try to foster harmony between different groups of people.
3. He may have had some suspicions of Michael Foster, the journal editor.

Word-7: Marginalised
Meaning: To relegate to an unimportant or powerless position within a society or group.
Synonyms: Marginalia, marginal, mainlined, marginally, magnified, mailing list, more analyzed, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Most of this growing population is poor and marginalized, even before disaster strikes.
2. The question of how to empower those people marginalized through disabilities and learning difficulties is, thus, a central one.
3. Over the years, however, the tribes have become increasingly marginalized, and their rich cultures and traditions have barely survived.

Word-8: Radicalisation
Meaning: By which an individual or a group adopts increasingly radical views in opposition.
Synonyms: Retaliation, reticulation, rationalization, revitalization, articulation, idealization, vocalization, realization.
Usage Examples:
1. The radicalization was also provoked by repressive measures taken by the Republican governments.
2. But UCL and UK government officials have denied that his radicalization occurred during those years.
3. Talking to the Enemy is recommendable not just for its vivid insights into the motivation of terrorists but also for its study of Islamic radicalization and the anthropology of religion in general.

Word-9: Straddles
Meaning: Something/somebody to sit or stand with one of your legs on either side of somebody/something.
Synonyms: Mount, ride, bestraddle.
Usage Examples:
1. Catholic and protestant church organization straddles the border.
2. He straddles the ground between party moderates and the religious right.
3. As a general argument, it straddles the two others, being more limited than either but broader than each.
