Word-1: Lynching
Meaning: The act of killing someone without a legal trial, usually by hanging (= killing using a rope around the neck).
Synonyms: Execution, capital punishment, mob justice, stringing up, the gallows, vigilante justice.
Usage Examples:
1. Although lynch law and lynching are mainly associated with hanging, other, less severe punishments were used.
2. A grand jury indicted only two men, not for lynching, but for breaking into the jail.
3. Anonymous flyers posted around town have accused him of murder and threatened him with lynching.
Word-2: Whistle-blower
Meaning: Anyone who has and reports insider knowledge of illegal activities occurring in an organisation.
Synonyms: Informant, informer, advocate, defender, protector, snitch, stool pigeon, turncoat.
Usage Examples:
1. The Liberals first raised the notion of whistle-blower legislation in the fall of 2003.

Word-3: Vigilantism
Meaning: The practice of ordinary people in a place taking unofficial action to prevent crime or to catch and punish people believed to be criminals.
Usage Examples:
1. The onus is now on the Libyan people to show restraint and respect for the rule of law in dealing with regime officials and soldiers and to refrain from vigilantism and retributive justice.
2. There has been recurrent talk by the government about registering all Internet users, and many worry that a wave of online threats and vigilantism could serve as a pretext to impose new limits on users.
3. The first film indeed hinted at this possibility, thrusting the hero and his alter-ego into a world where Wayne’s frivolity was as despised as Batman’s vigilantism.
Word-4: Stumble
Meaning: To hit your foot against something while walking and almost fall, or to walk awkwardly as if you might fall.
Synonyms: Bumble, careen, fall, fall down, falter, flounder, hesitate, limp, lumber, lurch, shuffle, swing, waver, wobble, blunder, err, muddle, pitch, etc.

Word-5: Cherish
Meaning: To love, protect, and care for someone or something important to you.
Synonyms: Admire, adore, appreciate, care for, cling to, cultivate, defend, embrace, encourage, enshrine, entertain, harbour, hold dear, honour, love, preserve, revere, safeguard, treasure, worship, etc.

1. They cherish their native land.
2. These people cherish their independence and sovereignty.
3. I still cherish the memory of that day.
Word-6: Absolutism
Meaning: A political system in which a single ruler, group, or political party has complete power over a country.
Synonyms: Autarchy, autocracy, despotism, dictatorship, tyranny.
Usage Examples:
1. But we all recognise that absolutism can easily spill over into extremism in certain instances without that balance.
2. Absolutism fostered capitalism by paving the way for a national free market.

Usage Examples:
1. His political views have a savour of fanaticism.
2. The bombing symbolises the worst of religious fanaticism.
3. Your fanaticism following the girl is wrong.
Word-8: Tribalism
Meaning: The state of existing as a tribe or a strong loyalty to your tribe.
Usage Examples:
1. Apartheid used tribalism as the basis of its “divide-and-rule” homeland policies.
2. He argued that multi-party systems encourage tribalism.
3. The tribalism of the town’s Ga majority was heavily emphasised.
Word-9: Enrich
Meaning: To improve the quality of something by adding something else.
Synonyms: Augment, cultivate, develop, endow, enhance, refine, supplement, upgrade, adorn, aggrandise, ameliorate, better, build, decorate, grace, ornament, pad, parlay, pyramid, spike, sweeten, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. The discovery of gold in the valleys will enrich the poor mountain area.
