Word-1: Fiscal
Meaning: Of or relating to money and especially to the money a government, business, or organization earns, spends, and owes.
Synonyms: Budgetary, economic, financial, commercial, money, pecuniary.
Usage Examples:
1. They agreed that countries with fiscal and current-account deficits should reduce budget deficits and increase private savings.
2. Fiscal policy, for instance, is commendably tight; there are no signs of any government-led dash for growth.
3. The government may soon offer investors some fiscal carrots to do so.

Word-2: Ostensible
Meaning: It describes something that seems to be true or is officially stated to be true, but about which you or other people have doubts.
Synonyms: Avowed, plausible, professed, purported, apparent, demonstrative, exhibited, illusory, manifest, notable, outward, quasi, semblant, specious.
Usage Examples:
1. Though there are some ostensible differences, they are essentially complimentary in politics, laying the theoretical foundation for the moral politics of feudalist society.
2. The ostensible glory of that company allures the unwary investor.
3. He did not accept the ostensible explanation but suspected that there was a nigger in the woodpile.

Word-3: Litigation
Meaning: Refers to the process of resolving disputes by filing or answering a complaint through the public court system.
Synonyms: Action, case, dispute, lawsuit, process, prosecution, suit, trial, cause, contention.
Usage Examples:
1. The company has consistently denied responsibility but agreed to the settlement to avoid the expense of lengthy litigation.
2. It was not unusual for the bank to involved in litigation over failed companies.
3. There are books on many library shelves which become the subject of litigation, though not banned.

Word-4: Speculative
Meaning: Based on a guess and not on information/ bought or done in order to make a profit in the future.
Synonyms: Analytical, dangerous, experimental, hypothetical, risky, unproved, unproven, unsubstantiated, abstract, assumed, conceptive, dicey, formularized, hairy, hazardous, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. A boom period of speculative house building peaked between 1928 and 1936 when the construction of 118,000 dwellings annually increased to 293,000.
2. The boss has put all his money into that speculative enterprise.
3. Thousands of pensioners were persuaded to mortgage their homes to invest in speculative bonds.

Word-5: Obligation
Meaning: Something by which a person is bound or obliged to do certain things and which arises out of a sense of duty or results from custom, law, etc.
Synonyms: Accountability, agreement, bond, burden, commitment, constraint, contract, debt, duty, liability, necessity, need, promise, requirement, right, trust, understanding, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Too great an eagerness to discharge an obligation is a species of ingratitude.
2. They felt under no obligation to maintain their employees.
3. Don’t try to duck out of the obligation.

Word-6: Pseudonym
Meaning: A name that someone uses instead of his or her real name, esp. on a written work.
Synonyms: Alias, stage name, anonym, handle, nickname, AKA, assumed name, incognito, nom de guerre, nom de plume, pen name, professional name, summer name.
Usage Examples:
1. His early leanings towards socialism were evident in articles he wrote under a pseudonym from 1885 to 1889 for the Manchester Examiner.
2. Alternatively, you could use a second address, perhaps under a pseudonym, for privacy’s sake.
3. Good place to catch new bands, although big ones sometimes turn up under a pseudonym.

Word-7: Reignite
Meaning: To start burning again; to make something start burning again.
Synonyms: Reawaken, rekindle, relight, renew.
Usage Examples:
1. “The goal is for MLK Day to reignite the American tradition of service and volunteerism, and to that end, the current call to action is viewed as a starting point,” the Web site explains.
2. To reignite his youth movement, he should make sure every American kid knows about two programs he has already endorsed: National Lab Day.
3. The report could reignite debate over the influence of Wall Street; it says regulators “lacked the political will” to scrutinize and hold accountable the institutions they were supposed to oversee.

Word-8: Epitome
Meaning: The typical or highest example of a stated quality, as shown by a particular person or thing.
Synonyms: Apotheosis, embodiment, essence, exemplar, personification, archetype, exemplification, illustration, quintessence, representation, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. It was the very epitome of what a great sporting occasion should be about and very seldom is.
2. He was the epitome of the dashing, flamboyant, slightly scruffy Bomber Pilot.
3. To be a good businessman is the epitome of development, and these learned people secretly aspire to that goal.

Word-9: Extemporaneous
Meaning: Done or said without any preparation or thought.
Synonyms: Ad hoc, ad-lib, automatic, casual, expedient, extemporary, extempore, immediate, impromptu, improv, improvisatory, informal, jamming, made-up, makeshift, offhand, etc.
Usage Examples:
1. Please note that we will have one formal class debate, extemporaneous class presentation, and planned class presentation over the semester.
2. This paper points out that an excellent vocal music teacher should have a charming voice and solid background in professional knowledge and be an extraordinary extemporaneous piano accompanist.
3. Accordingly, the director tells him what to do again with extemporaneous creation.
